Audition Notice- “REMEMBER REMEMBER”

We are excited to announce auditions for:

REMEMBER REMEMBER

There is a long history to this play, which we won’t bore you with now. Suffice to say that it has been a very long road to finally bring this play back to stage and we are very excited about it.  This is a World Premiere of a new play titled “REMEMBER REMEMBER “. It is a rewrite of “Penny for the Guy” updated from the original 1980’s into modern days and also to align it closely with the film version which will be made soon. The author, David Soames, is very keen to see it back on stage. You may not have heard of the author, but if I mention that he has written songs for Freddie Mercury, Cliff Richard and Dionne Warwick, to name a few, as well as working with Lord Laurence Olivier, you’ll get an idea of what an achievement this will be for Knutsford Little Theatre.

The original play has only ever been on stage once before, in 1994, for two weeks. It starred Karl Howman and George Sewell. After nearly 30 years we are proud to bring it back on stage after an intensive rewrite by David Soames helped, or hindered, by Sean Duvall.

This is a tense thriller, set in the house of Peter and Jane, both very successful people. When Jane’s daughter brings her boyfriend for a family meal all seems well, until unexpected visitors arrive with sinister intentions. But all is not what it appears and the plot twists and turn as the play progresses.

Character Synopsis

This will be available closer to the dates.
