Audition Notice- “War of the Worlds”

We are excited to announce auditions to be held on Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th February at 19.30 for:

 

War of the Worlds

After waving goodbye to Beauty and the Beast, we’re straight back into play mode.

Our next performance will be a Radio Play version of the HG Wells classic “War of the Worlds”.

The whole idea is that, if they wish to, the audience can close their eyes and feel immersed by the cast’s voices and the sound effects which will reverberate around the theatre.

Character Synopsis

Written for a cast of 6, 2 women, 4 men, it can be adjusted it necessary. In general there are two main characters, the Man and the Narrator. This is an ideal opportunity to really use your voice to create different characters as the play demands.

Auditions

Auditions will be held on Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th February at 19.30.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will start on Monday 6^th March but will be worked in around the rehearsals for Murdered to Death. Rehearsals will be minimal as they will be used to create the correct vocal balance, link in with the sound effects and to become familiar with the script. Exact rehearsal dates can be fixed on 6^th March. Being in War of the Worlds will NOT exclude you from being in Murdered to Death.

Production dates

War of the Worlds will be on stage at Knutsford Little Theatre from Wednesday 22nd March to Saturday 25th March
